I am a great fan of your strides Funmi. Chappal waddi came to fore when we did Ado-awaye and the curiousness to do more adventures with you has never waned.

You have made this new hike of interest and will be looking forward to your plans for a group trip.

I trust that you can bring your wealth of experience to bear on the hiccups you had and make it seamless for future hikers.

Love and light

This is the most interesting thing I’ve read in a very long time.

I like adventure and this seems like such a fun thing to do.

I would really like to climb this some day to have the experience and I hope that Nigeria gets saner so that the traveling experience will not be so scary.

I loved learning about this.

I climbed a mountain for the first time last year and it was an out of body experience when I reached the summit. This post is amazing because yes, we’ve left our sokotos to look in Sokoto...I hope that adage was clear. This has inspired me to look inwards for more adventures.

Yes, the adage makes sense. May I ask what mountain you climbed?

You're welcome. Hehe, if we can make the chopper service work, that would be awesome.

No I haven’t heard about Chappal Waddi but one thing I know is the North is full of many beautiful places to visit and see. I served in Jos and I only got to hike once(once because when I sent pictures home there was lots of fears about going security). There is a lot of tourists worthy places to visit in the North.

This is really awẹmazing. And your team must be super brave daring what we, the majority, consider almost impossible. Thanks for the awareness about the mountain. Had no idea it exists.

I only know of Chappal Wadi because I did geography in primary school. Also, Abuja's wonderland has a rock climbing game that mentions the name and other important details.

This writeup mehn! I always thought I had what it took to plan a trip but all the things you mentioned, I don't think I could ever be that good.

Yes i want to climb the mountain too 😭 I have some questions about the costs (of where you slept etc).
